Plight of the Oppressed is a generative artwork including film, an art exhibition, and event created by Dr Amar Alaw and which honours the resilience of Iraqi women. The special event included performative elements and artist talk. Using data science and Sufi aesthetics, Amars work conveys the collective grief and silent strength expressed through repeated forms of meditative variation.
